About the fly:

The Adams is really a old stand-by. Originated by Len Halladay back in 1922 was it named to honor his good friend C.F.Adams. The version which is common nowadays is already a modification of the original version.

The CDC Adams adds CDC to the construction. This material adds not only floatibility to the pattern, it adds the effect of motion to the fly and makes it more attractive to some fish.
