Recipe
Hook size 16 2x wire wet fly
Thread: light tan
Head: Rootbeer Glass Bead
Abdomen: 3 Golden Pheasant tail fibers
Thorax: peacock herl
Wingcase: None
Hackle: Starling; black with green metallic highlights tied in as a soft hackle
Rib: Fine copper wire
Tying instructions:

Pinch down the barb. Slip on glass bead. Tie in copper wire wrap thread back to hook bend. Tie in 3 tail fibers. Fold excess back over tie in along with the wire. Wrap & Twist fibers & wire to form a small rope. Wrap rope up snug against the bead. Tie off rope, tie in peacock herl wrap thread back to form with of thorax. Wrap the herl around the thread and build the thorax tie of snug against bead. Tie in starling hackle 1 or 2 turns, keep the effect sparse. Tie off & whipfinish.
